American goulash
Ingredients
- 1kg mince
- 1 onion - chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped
Or
- Garlic powder
- 1 700ml jar of Countdown Essentials pasta sauce
- Mixed herbs
- Salt
- Cracked black pepper
- 700ml water (fill the pasta jar and use it to wash the pasta sauce into the recipe)
- 2 cups of gluten free macaroni elbows. Consider using more pasta.
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium high heat. Add the beef, and brown for 10 minutes, breaking up as you stir. Add the onion and continue to cook, while stirring, until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add all the remaining ingredients, except the macaroni, and cover with a lid, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Stir in the macaroni, simmer for another 10-15 minutes until pasta is cooked
